The aim of this team activity is to get the team to piece together the images in the correct order by deducing the theme of a series of frames zooming continuously out.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Equipment required:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A copy of the book <em>Zoom <\/em>by Istvan Banyai. Available for less than $10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preparation:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Detach the images from the book page by page to allow them to be use as single sheets or run colour photocopies.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The facilitator can choose to divide the group into two teams to engender an element of competition.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Brief:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A set of images will be handed out with you will be able to piece together a story. Your objective is to piece together the story in the fastest time possible.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Each participant will be given one or more images but is not permitted to show them to anyone else.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Without looking at each other\u2019s images, the group must put the images in sequence.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>When the group believes they have the images in the right order, they should be put face down on the floor in sequence.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Your aim is to achieve the correct sequence in the fastest time possible, but your team must decide on how much time to give itself.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nominate a timekeeper to keep you to the time limit you decide.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"225\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/crmknowledgehub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/zoom.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/crmknowledgehub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/zoom.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/crmknowledgehub.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/zoom-150x150.jpeg 150w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 960px) 75vw, 100vw\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Zoom by Istvan Banyai<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Facilitator:&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Nominate a team leader. Don\u2019t specify their role or responsibilities<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Nominate a briefing number. They are to brief the team on the instructions for the activity.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Nominate a scribe to write down the team\u2019s SOPs<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Before you begin you have 5 minutes led by a team leader to discuss and develop some rules or SOPs as a group to help you achieve the aim. e.g. who can talk, when, in what order, how to lay out cards, responsibilities, etc.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>These must be written up on the white board, and once you have decided on your SOPs, you can\u2019t change them. The team leader has the last word.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The debrief:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The activity will allow the facilitator to engage the group in a number of themes for the debrief according to the aims of the session as suggested below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SOPs<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Did you get it right? If not, why not? If so, could you have done it faster? How?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Did your SOPs help? If not why not? If so why?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Would you change any or add any other SOPs afterwards?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Workload Management, time management, and prioritisation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What effect did the time limit have on you?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Was there a pressure to get it finished?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who set that pressure?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Did anyone feel that they were sidelined or under used?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Could you have better managed the workload between you?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Communication<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What were the communication problems?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What communication methods did your team use?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What were the challenges to communicating effectively?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How could you have addressed them better before starting?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Situation Awareness<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What was the effect of only having one part of the story?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Did anyone think they had the whole picture?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At what point do you think you developed the full picture?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What made the penny drop?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Teamwork and Leadership<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What difficulties did your team experience?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What did your team do well when you discussed the sequence of images?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is there anything that frustrated you?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Did everyone agree with the sequence? If not, did you have to compromise?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How well did you work as a team? Is there anything you could have done better?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Did others in the team listen to your opinion? Did everyone have their input?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Did anyone emerge as a leader?
